tangents ‘25 | Valencia

Last month, Haneen and Andrea took off to Spain. They had the pleasure of experiencing the vibrant and culturally rich city of Valencia. Valencia offered a history of Moorish influence repackaged with romanesque and baroque retrofits. The streets are full with people as the best means of transportation is by bike or on foot, which forces life into the streets. Narrow alleys, medieval walls and street art serve as backdrops.

Of course, no architectural journey through Valencia would be complete without a visit to the City of Arts and Sciences. A campus that includes a museum of science, a planetarium, a performing arts center, an aquarium, a botanical garden and more, designed by Santiago Calatrava & Felix Candela. The campus is a living space for music, science and art.
