In 2019, DBRDS received approval for San Diego’s first Small Lot Ordinance development that incorporated a combination of local density bonus provisions & built-in ADU’s (for market-rate lots only).

At the October 4th, 2019 Planning Commission, Commissioner Whalen commented “this is a great project, and I want staff to pay attention to the kind of documentation that the applicants submitted…that was superb,…the way you related the structures to the surrodunding area, the way you worked through community consistency with single-family but a more dense model”
